Valerie Leon, Kidnapper

Lovely Valerie Leon is all smiles as she pulls her Jag alongside a young girl on a bike. 'I've got a note from your Mum' she says. Taken in, the young girl stops pedalling only for Valerie to grab her while that bloke who used to be in Emmerdale puts a bag on her head and bundles her into the back of the motor. Valerie! Really? Has it come to this? Kid-kidnap?

From a 1982 episode of odd (but very popular - it ran for four years and five series) crime show 'Strangers' called 'A Swift & Evil Rozzer'.

Valerie Leon, Super Nurse

The frankly flipping gorgeous Valerie Leon plays a very accommodating nurse in the somewhat heavy handed 1967 Johnny Speight TV satire 'If There Weren't Any Blacks, You'd Have To Invent Them'. It's unbelievable what you used to be able to get on the NHS, isn't it?

Valerie Leon, Show Girl

Valerie Leon has a small but pivotal role as a showgirl in the Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) episode 'That's How Murder Snowballs'. She's a fine looking woman. I'd pay money to see her standing around in a feather head dress.

Valerie Leon, Desperate Housewife

A frustrated Valerie Leon prepares herself for a visit from local odd job man / village stud Barry Stokes in 1975 smutter 'The Up's and Down's Of A Handyman'. Imagine her disappointment when she discovers that Barry is indisposed and has sent Young Mr. Grace from 'Are You Being Served?' instead. What a waste of a negligee.

Don't worry, though, she (sort of) gets the right man in the end, and shows off even more lingerie. She certainly is game, I'll give her that.

Valerie Leon, Nose Holder

Valerie Leon is the link between several venerable British entertainment institutions, including Hammer films, the Carry On series, the James Bond franchise and dear old Morecambe and Wise.

Here she is in part of their 1977 Xmas special, a Cyrano De Bergerac skit also featuring Penelope Keith and Francis Matthews. Val has little to do apart from to show a bit of cleavage and hold Eric's false nose, but she seems to be enjoying herself.

Valerie Leon, Zetan

The luminous Valerie Leon as Apropos in Michael Cort's mind boggling sci fi comedy smutter 'Zeta One' (1969). I think this is the most skimpily dressed I have ever seen her, hence the slightly worn out quality of the screen grabs. She's a fine figure of a woman, alien or otherwise.

I will review 'Zeta One' at some point, but I'll have to build up to it.

Valerie Leon, Smuggler

Valerie Leon strips off to reveal her smalls in a 1969 episode of 'Hark At Barker'.

Valerie Leon, Camping Assistant

Valerie Leon tussles in a tent with confirmed bachelor Charles Hawtrey in her role as Miss Dobbin in 'Carry on Camping'. Astoundingly, I think she's supposed to be attracted to him.

Valerie Leon, Lesbian

Valerie Leon as Miss Hampton, a sapphic masseuse in the rotten smutter 'Can You Keep It Up For A Week?' (1975).

Valerie Leon, Serving Wench

Valerie Leon interacts with Kenneth Connor in out of control 1972 TV Special 'Carry On Christmas'. Ridiculously, this show is one of my first TV memories. I'd never seen old people behave so badly before.

Valerie Leon, Delivery Girl

Valerie Leon appears very briefly in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', and is rather shabbily treated, receiving only passing attention from Bond, the cheeky bastard. I'd like to think that Val and Milton met on set and, perhaps, had a short romance. Actually, that's an awful thought.

Valerie Leon, Psychiatric Patient

Valerie Leon is Miss Ibbotson in an episode of the largely (justly) forgotten 1973 sitcom 'Bowler'. Britain's favourite Bulgarian, the recently deceased George Baker, played the title role, a rich and vulgar cockney wide boy who is trying to better himself. In this episode, Bowler attends a psychiatrist, seen here with Valerie. Underneath the groovy clothes and ginger wig is Michael Sheard, aka Hitler / Mr. Bronson from Grange Hill.

Filmed in front of a live audience, Valerie's brief appearance is marked by an audible 'ooh' and, brilliantly, a  low, slow whistle of appreciation.

Valerie Leon, Medical Patient

Valerie Leon plays Miss Wedderburn, a hospital patient with a benign cyst on her left breast, who lets a bunch of men in white coats have a good feel, later finding out that they are not doctors, but decorators, in this episode of 'Doctor In Charge' from 1873. Sorry, 1973.

Valerie Leon, Transformer

Valerie Leon was in several Carry On films, but in 'Carry On Girls' (1972) she plays almost a dual role: the unflatteringly bespectacled plain Jane secretary / fiancee of bumbling Bernard Bresslaw and, when she realises he is involved in a beauty contest at Fircombe On Sea, an uninhibited, bikini clad super vixen, eager to show him (and everybody else) just why he should stick with her. Yes, it's a totally preposterous, vaguely offensive situation, but that's Carry On for you. The last picture features Classic Sid James Face #6.

Valerie Leon, Sex Object

Valerie is reduced to a series of constituent parts in 'The Rise & Rise Of Michael Rimmer' (1970).
